Dr Vodder Manual Lymphatic Drainage Massage
with Combined Decongestive Therapies
Level 3 fully qualified lymphoedema practitioners
|
MLD is an advanced therapy in which the
practitioner uses a range of specialised and gentle rhythmic, pumping
techniques to move the skin in the direction of the lymph flow.
This
stimulates the lymphatic vessels which carry body fluid and substances vital
to the defence of the body and removes waste products. |
 |
|
Whole body MLD directly influences 50% of the total
connective tissue of the body. This tissue bathes the cells of the body,
supplying nutrients, vitamins and minerals; removing metabolic waste, excess
proteins and dead or damaged cells. MLD aids the cleansing and
purifying of this tissue, creating a healthy environment for healing, repair
and growth.
